Organic Bedding Sheets - What Are the Benefits?
Organic bedding sheet sets are not only soft and silky, but also the finished cotton fabric is not treated with chemical dyes. This means that what is left is a beautiful natural color. They are made from 300 thread count single ply and single pick cotton. This cotton has traditionally has a jersey knit sleeping surface which is just like your favorite t-shirt. These sets come with SKAL 100% organic cotton certification.
The certification also guarantees that the cotton was not grown with genetically modified seeds, and the land was not exposed to any synthetic fertilizers or herbicides for a minimum of 3 years. The sheet sets are even package in biodegradable bags made from hemp and corn film. These sets are soured only. They are made to fit standard mattresses with depths up to 15" for Twin, Full and XL Twin sizes, the other queen and king sizes fit up to 18" mattress depths. The pillow cases fit standard queen pillow sizes. The color is of course a natural color.
The organic bedding can also be purchased with an optional mattress and pillow organic protector. The protector acts as stain and water proof barrier. These mattress protectors are 100% Certified Organic Cotton from a jersey knit material. They are known for their soft and comfortable feel which could be sufficient to be used as a sheet & pillowcase. They also come with SKAL 100% organic cotton certification. Like the sheet sets they also have an unbleached natural color. The waterproof polyurethane backing is made of all recycled materials and the packaging is biodegradable.
