A genetically modified organism (GMO) or genetically engineered organism (GEO) is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. These techniques are generally known as recombinant DNA technology. With recombinant DNA technology, DNA molecules from different sources are combined in vitro into one molecule to create a new gene. This DNA is then transferred into an organism and causes the expression of modified or novel traits.

Genetically modified (GM) foods are foods produced from GMO that have had their DNA altered through genetic engineering. GM foods were first put on the market in the early 1990s. The most common modified foods are derived from plants: soybean, corn, canola cotton seed oil and wheat.

Eat A Rainbow - Your Guide to Better Living Through Nourishment

I am driven to write this article by the hope that we could survive the era of "food science." I feel compelled to voice my written above the drone of the mist pouring from the propaganda machines of the food industry. I'm absolutely terrified about the disconnect we find in our relationship with food today. We are so lost and do not even know it.

We have lost reference in the event that we come from and where we are going. We are the first generation in our cultural history, to classes, how to eat. Grocery stores seems to me as a warehouse for food, toys, "headlined the illicit entertainment for our taste buds, perhaps she is truly creative and elaborate mazes full of adventure, distraction and temptation, as you battle to find unadulterated whole foods. Too much drama in my tone ... maybe ... or maybe just enough. Today is my daughter's fourth birthday, and I'm disappointed by that I have done little to halt that this reductions May, the best thing we have to offer their generation.

I offer you a vision of what I hope. I would like to remind the people of the simplicity of eating and living well. Our fixation on food as a cure for our suffering food is very misplaced. As I write this I remember all the men and women who seem to benefit from this diet or that who bravely defend their diet. I hope you will suspend your verdict and the information can be found here. A diet is just as a kind of food to a desired result. I suggest that our primary diet is not really a diet, but can best be described as food to nourish. I am promoting my idea of the rainbow Gourmand diet, but to help people conceive the simplicity of good food, as a touchstone to which they reflect, if the right food choices.

The Rainbow Gourmand diet is a very simple approach to good food. Their diet should be rich in color and an ever-changing variety of Whole Foods, defined as unprocessed and non-or minimally processed before consumption. That's it! That is the crucial key to eat. In addition, there are guidelines that are tailored to your diet your specific needs or objectives. You might be disappointed by its simplicity, but the food is simple. We only have ourselves convinced that there will be more complicated that a doctor needs to right a book about them and end on a talk show, or perhaps we need to see everything to a food group. How could it as easy as eating only foods that are actually food? With the concept of the Rainbow Gourmand nutrition as a leader you will always be in a position to make the right decisions quickly and to experience the renewed joy of good food and feel good. Here you will find improved clarity of mind and physical energy, emotional and intellectual vitality. Your body will thrive if they are not burdened by the onslaught of "food science."

It should be noted that many people experience withdrawal symptoms such as the science they foods from their system. Designer food is produced to have been addicted to a certain level. Many food tickling receptors in our brains, our mild "Heights" and make us feel good. Often, it is our comfort food we turn to us through difficult times. Basically, these foods contain substances to alter mood, we love them for that. However, if we remove them, we are experiencing cravings and withdrawal. Scary in his own right, but not to fear, as you begin to rid yourself of their addictive nature.

Here are some more extensive guidelines for the Rainbow Gourmand Diet. Start your day with breakfast. Enjoy a protein source with every meal. They eat several small meals throughout the day. The aim to drink half the body weight in ounces of water daily (100lbs = 50 oz H2O). Avoid caffeine, sugar and other sweeteners. Eat organic, especially food on the dirty dozen from the EEC. (Organic is usually your best bet though that designation is questioned by those who are his vulnerabilities.) Consider diversity at any time. Vegetables are not just vegetables. Depending on the type of plant, growing environment, part of the plant, the color of the plant, and you will reap a multitude of health benefits. Enjoy what you eat and add intention of the process. Consume a lot of cold water fish.

The Rainbow Gourmand Diet in its simplicity reminds us to eat in Upper grandeur of the beautiful, colorful and varied foods as nature has given them. Insert here personal verdict. For legal reasons I will not certain branded foods (huh? ... Read that again ... branded foods?) But have you ever seen square fish sticks swimming in the ocean, hot dogs frolicking in the pastures, potato chips grow in the soil, chicken play in their own excrement and shooting to antibiotics, cows on corn and straight-grain hormones, oranges enriching themselves with calcium? In the supermarket aisles are filled with "food" that more resemble experiments in extending the shelf life than edible offerings.

What we have here? The answer lies in our recent history since the Second World War, when many of our advances in food technology, the promise of what could be achieved, we forgot to ask "what should be achieved?" Government programs to promote efficiency and profitability drive the innovation of the food science industry. Genetically modified organisms are at the forefront of this madness today. I should not forget to mention that our hardworking farmers can market their entire crop for copyright infringement if a genetically modified organism is found to have their crops pollinated. Since there is no way to prevent pollination, it happens all the time.

Do not let the simplicity of the Rainbow Gourmand Diet deceive you. It developed with enormous attention to the sciences, physics, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, psychology, pathology, diet. Simply put, it is founded in the wild and has been tested since the beginning of the journey of the people on this planet. We developed, and it is us, and we still have to prove that we are clever enough to think the brilliant simplicity of nature.

I hope that this article raises awareness and motivation in you to learn more. Thank you and good.
