A genetically modified organism (GMO) or genetically engineered organism (GEO) is an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. These techniques are generally known as recombinant DNA technology. With recombinant DNA technology, DNA molecules from different sources are combined in vitro into one molecule to create a new gene. This DNA is then transferred into an organism and causes the expression of modified or novel traits.

Genetically modified (GM) foods are foods produced from GMO that have had their DNA altered through genetic engineering. GM foods were first put on the market in the early 1990s. The most common modified foods are derived from plants: soybean, corn, canola cotton seed oil and wheat.

The Dangers of Fast Food

I with a fast-food place recently, where cars were lined in the drive. I suddenly pictured in my head, Holocaust victims line up before the gas chambers. I know it was an unfair comparison. Death by gas chamber is faster and probably more human. The researchers have shown that fast food contributes to weight gain, insulin resistance and other health problems can lead to a slow death.

The well-known problem with fast food is that it tends to be high in fats. Although fat is a high-octane fuel for our bodies, the fats in fast food tend to kind of unhealthy, fat is also addictive, the more we eat, the more we want. Therefore, fast food consumers tend to consume more fuel than they may use.

Fast food is also processed foods and many processed foods are processed more than at the expense of nutrients. Taste is also destroyed, so that the producers try to feed us this nutrient-poor food, they add things like salt, sugar, fat and improve the taste. Then they add evil things like artificial flavors and coloring and preservatives, many of which result from fossil fuels. Bad news for adults, for children but the consequences could be even more than their growing body and brain unable to process and eliminate these chemicals as effective;

Another concern is the High Fructose syrup in nutrient deficient soft drink. Fruktosereicher syrup (HFC) is an artificial additives that is cheaper and easier for manufacturers of soda water to operate. HFCS is made by the treatment of maize (usually genetically modified maize) with a variety of enzymes (some of which are also genetically modified) to extract the first sugar glucose and then convert some of them in fructose. The body, however, different processes HFCS, as it is sugar. As well as "an important contribution to the global epidemic of obesity," HFCS is associated with an increased risk of Type II diabetes, heart disease, accelerated aging, and a number of other health problems. The typical teenage boys in the United States is now about 10% of its daily calories from soda.

The grate risk of fast food, perhaps only the lack of fiber. A double cheeseburger, medium fries and a medium soft drink, McDonald's, a total of six grams of fiber. At this rate, the recommended daily intake of 25-40g of fiber, you would have to consume much more than 4000 calories daily. In addition to the Regelmaigkeit, fiber is required, the food for the process of cleaning the body. The lack of fiber in our daily diet leads to poor elimination of toxins, the possibility of disease to set in. lack of fiber has been shown to increase the risk of constipation, diabetes, diverticulosis, heart disease, cancer and a variety of other illnesses .

I 'm not try my finger on the fast-food industry. They sell only what we demand. We eat fatty foods because we like fatty foods. We eat too many calories, because we like pigs. We go to fast food places, because we are too lazy to cook for us. We should not for someone else to blame if our own decisions cause disaster. We do not need to attack the fast-food industry, we must make our own attack lifestyle.
